The Rural Municipality of Strathcona

An area of approximately 193 square miles, is year~round home to over 700 people and, seasonally, to many more who locate their vacation homes in this area of outstanding natural beauty. The Municipality was formed on March 16th, 1906 and encompasses the well~serviced town of Belmont and the Hamlet of Hilton to the North. It has the unique aspect of being bounded on the South by picturesque Pelican Lake.

Strathcona has two wards, Ward One to the North of Hwy No. 23 and Ward Two to the South and is governed by a Reeve and four Councillors.
